The catering director, Chiara Tacca, has been invaluable in assisting us with this event; and, the catering department has been a marvelous help in the planning stages. The Hilton has been extremely generous helping us with price breaks when possible. They have also donated a wonderful staycation for our auction. Here is a personal statement from the President of the National Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, Michael E. DiYeso, to Rodriguez Charities as to the reason that donations such as this are important to the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.

"The Broward County Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge has accepted the $5,000 donation from Rodriguez Charites in support of our George Washington Birthday Gala because it will allow us to continue our mission of recognizing and developing responsible citizenship. Our country, today more than ever, needs citizens who understand our American history and heritage and are ready to engage in the many important issues that face our society. With this donation, we will be able to send five more students from the area to Valley Forge to participate in leadership training, inspirting them to accept their responsiblities as American citizens and make a positive contribution to our community."
