... The one thing that impressed me the most other than all the amazing people I met, was the speaker, Bob Tryanski.  He really inspired me to think at a higher level and actually gave me a challenge that I am going to go back and try to tackle.. I might be more outgoing or more energetic but that doesn't make me any better.  Instead I need to learn to pass the torch and give students  who aren't normally recognized the chance to shine...

... Bob Tryanski's speech opened my eyes to a new type of leadership... His definitions and examples of leadership truly caught my attention... His leader was not characterized by strong actions and lofty words.  Bob depicted his leader who is willing to sacrifice for others and put the spotlight on another person besides themselves... Through Bob I learned a new outlook of a leader and the necessity to constantly dream big and try your hardest to reach those dreams. By applying these experiences know I will be able to grow and flourish in life...

... Alas, I forgot some important stuff.  I was on the Flag Committee and that was just great.  Being able to fold and hang up the flag Sunday morning was such and honor and our helpers who were Cub Scouts taught us some interesting things abouthe the flag... The signer ceremony was super fun.  Being able to sign the {Declaration of Independence}  and now being able to keep a copy is so great...

...I don't even know how to begin to describe all that I've learned!  I completely refreshed my knowledge of American history and learned many new excited facts.  Also, I learned an abundance of information about the government.  It actually surprised me how much I didn't know!  The Constitution and the struggle to find balance between liberty and security were profoundly fascinating!!!...

... I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion with Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson... I was amazed that I was actually interested comprehended what the men were talking about... This discussion was one of the highlights of my weekend because I found myself absorbing more information in that hour than in what I would take away from weeks of mundane classroom lecture...

To start off Christine and Bill were amazing chaperones!!! They were so fun and helpful and very involved... I also loved the motivational speakers, they did an excellent job of being funny and keeping the audience interested.  The trust games that we played and the talent show and ice cream social were some of my favorites.  It was interesting getting to know everyone and learn about them and their lives...
